A frequent performer on The Moth Mainstage, he has shared his stories in theaters across the country, capturing the raw, absurdist reality of the human experience. Whether he is weaving a narrative for a live audience or crafting satirical projects, his storytelling is defined by a sharp, observational wit and an unapologetic vulnerability.

Acting: Stage & Screen

With a background rooted in both classical theater and modern improvisation, Brently brings a versatile presence to the screen and stage. His acting career includes collaborations with legendary directors, including a role in Woody Allen’s Anything Else and work with Robert Rodriguez. His television credits feature appearances in acclaimed series such as Friday Night Lights and The Leftovers. He is known for navigating complex emotional landscapes while maintaining the comedic timing of a seasoned stand-up.

Music: Tiny Desk & Fragile Rock

As the founder and director of the world’s first "emo puppet band," Fragile Rock, Brently has redefined the boundaries of performance art. The band’s unique blend of post-punk music and felt-based angst earned them a featured spot on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series. Beyond the puppets, his musical work includes professional arrangements and satirical compositions, most recently seen in the development of his latest musical projects and the Tin Pan Pally publishing label.
